GRiT (Girls Riding Together)

Rochester Youth Cycling Club’s GRiT (Girls Riding Together) program is a dedicated space for female student-athletes to build confidence, skills, and community through mountain biking. As part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) GRiT initiative, our program is designed to empower girls both on and off the trail.

Led by a team of five experienced female coaches, the GRiT club provides a supportive, inclusive environment where riders of all ability levels can grow at their own pace. Whether they’re brand new to the sport or looking to advance their skills, participants benefit from positive mentorship, skill development, and strong camaraderie.

Through group rides, skills clinics, and team-building activities, GRiT fosters not only stronger riders, but also confident leaders and lifelong friendships. Our goal is simple: get more girls on bikes, keep them riding, and help them thrive.

Plus, our GRiT members are full RYCC club members who can enjoy all the club rides, events, and races.
